The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive HR experience to provide comprehensive guidance on various HR functions, driving organizational effectiveness and team member engagement. Reporting to the CHRO, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our team and the overall experience of our residents and clients. Collaborate with Legacy at Willow Bend and Legacy at Home leadership to understand business goals and align HR strategies accordingly.
Serve as a consultant to leaders on HR-related issues, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and best practices.
Manage team member relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
Manage all leaves of absence with team members and their leaders.
Discuss workplace injuries, OSHA logs, and safety fairs with the Safety Team.
Lead the 90-day and annual performance management process.
Lead the annual team engagement survey process, from initiation to action planning.
Analyze metrics/trends for performance, engagement, and turnover to identify areas for improvement.
Develop and implement HR programs/initiatives to support a positive work environment and enhance team member retention and engagement.
Receive and process team member data changes (PAFs).
Review payroll registers bi-weekly prior to payroll confirmation to ensure changes have been captured completely and correctly.
Maintain, track, and audit compliance for licensure, CPR certification, MVR, health records, and background screenings to ensure all team members remain in compliance.
Conduct monthly audits of all compliance-related documentation and implement corrective actions.
Demonstrate knowledge of general benefits administration and provide support and resolution to benefits issues.
Conduct monthly audits of training for new hires and existing team members, informing their leaders of any gaps to ensure prompt completion.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Analyze development needs to provide feedback to the Senior Director of Human Resources.
Observe team member performance to provide feedback to the Senior Recruiter regarding the quality of hires.
Oversee the onboarding and transactional work completed by the HR Coordinator.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
5+ years of progressive generalist and business partner experience
Thorough knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws, especially talent management and development.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with the ability to operate in ambiguity and make decisions under pressure.
Proven track record of driving HR initiatives and change management.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with leaders and team members at The Legacy Willow Bend and The Legacy at Home.
Ability to provide exceptional customer service to hiring leaders and team members, understanding their needs and supporting them effectively.
Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing needs.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Unquestioned integrity.
Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office suite (Paycor preferred).
Educational Requirements
Some college coursework or post-secondary education required.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or an applicable field preferred.
SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification desired.
Location and Work Hours
This job will be located at our Willow Bend (Plano) location, Monday through Friday, with flexibility required to support the needs of a 24-hour community.
