What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Living Resources Corp?

The Medical Assistant will transport and attend all medical/dental appointments as assigned. They are responsible for bringing all necessary paperwork/consults and assist the individuals with self-advocacy during the appointments. After the appointment is completed the Medical Assistant will secure the individuals medical information by completing the appropriate follow up and document when the next appointment is. The Medical Assistant is responsible for communicating the outcome of all appointments directly to the RN via phone.
Hours: Monday - Friday, daytime hours
Pay: $19.50-$20.50/hour

Requirements:- 1 year of Direct Support Professional experience working with people with I/DD
- The ability to get Medication certification, diabetes/g-tube certification, if not already in possession
- Driver’s license and ability to drive agency vehicle
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Experience as a Medical Assistant in a Dr.’s office or Hospital, preferred
- PCA/HHA/C.N.A. experience, a plus
Salary : $20 - $21
