Job Description:
The Wastewater Operator is responsible for the operation of Living Water Services LLC’s various wastewater treatment facilities across Alabama. The Wastewater Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the wastewater treatment system. This position will also be responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the wastewater treatment system.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work in a standing position for the majority of the shift.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
- Must have knowledge of wastewater treatment system operation, including but not limited to: water discharges, sludge, sludge handling, chemical processing, aeration, and waste disposal.
- Must have knowledge of wastewater treatment system maintenance and repair.
- Must be able to read and understand a variety of technical drawings and schematics.
- Must possess or obtain knowledge of plant safety, plant operating procedures, and plant emergency procedures.
- Water treatment experience is required.
- Knowledge of plant emergency procedures (i.e., fire, alarm, and power) is required.
Must have knowledge of safe work practices at the plant (i.e., no-touch, touch-only, walk-only) and must pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $26.00 per hour
