As an Accounting Assistant, you will support the financial operations of the organization by utilizing your core skills in accounting and financial concepts. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, your role will involve managing accounts payable and receivable, performing data entry, and assisting with payroll management. Your proficiency in QuickBooks and understanding of GAAP will be essential in ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting. You will also have several opportunities for professional development, including mentorship and support for obtaining Notary certification.
Job Responsibilities :
- Draft, verify, send, and follow up on invoices via email and phone.
- Print checks as needed and deposit received payments.
- Periodically review outstanding invoices and retainage.
- Ensure lien rights are secured by producing and mailing necessary documents and recording liens as required.
- Handle official document notarization (Public Notary certification required-company can facilitate).
- Support the Accounting Manager with book reviews and adjustments as needed.
