The accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting administrative tasks such as processing accounts payable and receivable transactions, journal entries, reconciliations, inventory and other projects as assigned.
Responsibilities::
- Day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Post previous day cash and credit card transactions daily.
- Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Ensure all transactions are posted to the proper department and location.
- Prepare and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations, including cash and credit card statements.
- Assist with and eventually prepare payroll weekly.
- Track project inventory and reconcile physical count to accounting system monthly.
- Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and procedures.
- Other projects assigned.
Qualifications::
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with accounting software, QuickBooks Online preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compensation:
- $58,000 - $63,000 per year based on experience
