We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to support our finance team in managing accounting functions, grant administration, payroll processes, and financial reporting. As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring financial accuracy across multiple areas. Your responsibilities will include handling cost allocations, reconciling accounts, posting deposits, and assisting with audits to maintain accurate financial records. You'll also support grant administration, preparing financial reports to ensure compliance with agreements and assisting in budget development.
Payroll processing will also be part of your role, where you'll help run reports, process payments, and manage bank uploads for employee benefits and contributions. In addition, you will be responsible for tracking Wraparound Program expenses, calculating vehicle mileage reimbursements, and maintaining financial spreadsheets that support operational efficiency. Your ability to analyze financial data, spot discrepancies, and implement process improvements will be key to your success.
This role also offers the opportunity to cross-train in key financial functions, including serving as a backup to the Claims Processor, ensuring business continuity when needed. You'll participate in internal meetings and industry conferences to stay informed about the latest developments in financial management.

Job Specific Requirements :
Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to work independently. Previous experience in accounting, payroll, or grants administration preferred.
Qualifications, and Experience :
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and willing / able to learn other software as necessary.
Minimum High School diploma; Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of information in accordance with agency policies and regulations.
Able to effectively collaborate with team members and other program staff.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
