The Position
The work involves responsibility for planning, supervising, and coordinating the accounting and fiscal management functions of an appointing authority. The duties involve responsibility for the performance of moderately complex professional accounting and related fiscal administrative tasks. Supervision is exercised over subordinate employees engaged in accounting and financial administration activities. The work is performed under the general supervision of the assigned supervisor, with some latitude for the exercise of independent judgment.
Qualifications: Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in accounting; and two full years of full-time, paid accounting experience including budget preparation and financial reporting; or Possession of an Associate’s degree in accounting or business administration, economics, or a directly related field including at least 18 credit hours in accounting and four years of full-time, paid accounting experience including budget preparation and financial reporting. Supervisory experience of one year for a group of subordinates is required for both qualifications.
