Position Overview:
We're seeking a qualified and experienced boat captain who can manage all aspects of our vessel operations, including maintenance follow-up (with a third party), client services, and day-to-day management. As a LIVO boat manager, you'll have significant autonomy in running operations while leveraging our innovative tech platform to ensure premium service delivery. The ideal candidate will combine strong maritime expertise with a tech-forward mindset and superior customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and navigate the vessel safely in accordance with all maritime regulations
- Utilize our proprietary technology platform for maintenance scheduling, client communication, and operational management
- Manage and execute regular maintenance schedules and cleaning protocols
- Coordinate with service providers for repairs and specialized maintenance
- Ensure vessel compliance with all safety regulations and documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service during client outings
- Maintain detailed digital logs of all operations, maintenance, and client services
- Monitor weather conditions and make appropriate sailing decisions
- Manage inventory of supplies and equipment through our digital platform
Required Qualifications:
- Valid USCG Captain's License appropriate for vessel size
- Minimum 3 years experience captaining similar-sized vessels (30-40 ft)
- Proven experience in boat maintenance and management
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Tech-savvy with ability to learn and master new digital tools
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Boston Whaler vessels
- Knowledge of Miami waterways and marine regulations
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
- Background in hospitality or luxury customer service
