Summary: This position maintains and operates all instruments and measuring devices needed to complete different types of survey work assignments.
General Responsibilities:
- Operates and maintains levels, theodolites, robotic total stations, GPS Units, data collectors, magnetic locators, including surveying supplies such as tripods, prism poles, level rods and measuring tapes.
- Perform various topographic surveys at proposed facility sites and along street and road ROW’s.
Required Education/Licenses:
- HS Graduate or GED
Required Experience:
- 2-3 years extensive survey experience and/or specialized vocational training in survey technology.
- Operate Trimble GPS Units with Trimble data collectors and a Trimble Robotic Total Station with the Trimble data collector, as well as, Topcon GPS Units and a Topcon Robotic Total Station with Topcon data collectors.
- Pipeline Locating and Probing
Physical Requirements:
- Occasional lifting/carrying a minimum of 25 lbs. and up to 50 lbs.
- Driving to and from various project sites.
Additional Skills/Certifications preferred but not required:
- AutoCAD
- Safety Training Classes
