General Responsibilities:

• Assist in wetland assessment and delineation field efforts; collect appropriate wetland field data relative to wetland vegetation, soils, and hydrology.
• Assist in preparing wetland delineation reports and functional assessment reports for regulatory agency review.
• Assist in preparing other environmental regulatory compliance documents such as Biological Assessments, Biological Evaluations, and Environmental Assessments.
• Assist in preparing Section 404 wetland permit applications and compensatory wetland mitigation plans for submittal to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
• Applicant may assist in the development of complex environmental documents in compliance with NEPA and the ESA.
  
  

Required Education:

• BS Degree plan in wetland science, environmental science, biology, soil science, botany or related field.
  
  

Required Experience:

• The applicant will possess a cursory knowledge of botany, soils, and hydrology and how they relate to understanding wetland functions.
• The applicant will employ a basic understanding of the functional roles of wetlands and aquatic resources.
  
  

Other Requirements:

• Applicant must be able to lift/carry up to 50lbs on a regular
• Applicant must possess a valid Driver's license and a clear motor vehicle In addition, employee must meet standards to qualify for and maintain vehicle driving privileges.
• Applicant must be able to work evenings and potentially weekends depending on project
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Must possess excellent communication skills and be comfortable interacting with coworkers and clients/agencies.
• Applicant must be able to work in adverse weather conditions, on weekends and holidays, driving long distances, sitting/standing/walking for long periods of time, and lift/carry 50 lbs. of field gear
