Lincoln Land Community College's Bookstore is currently accepting applications for a Student Worker to perform sales, provide customer assistance, process merchandise and perform clerical duties.Student Workers will perform the following duties:Run cash registers and process transactions for customers on Point of Sale systemAssist customers with purchases, including books, merchandise, technology, uniforms and other as requiredAnswer phonesShelve textbooks and other merchandise; Pull books from shelves for customers needing booksSell textbooks and other merchandise, collecting, processing, and/or disbursing cash, checks, credit card charges as assignedAssist with opening or closing the bookstore as needed by full time staffPerform assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks according to established practices, procedures, techniques, and standards in a safe and efficient manner and with minimal supervisionPeriodically clean retail fixtures to assure professional image of bookstoreAssist with displays of merchandise and assist with relocation of stock when neededCreate Student IDs as needed when full time staff is not availableAll LLCC Student Workers have the following institutional responsibilities:Uphold LLCC’s mission, as well as certain standards of conduct within the College and in dealings with students, staff, faculty and the general publicResponsible for compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and other regulations with regard to confidentiality of and access to student and other institutional recordsStudent Workers will be paid at minimum wage and will be scheduled to work up to 20 hours per week, during Bookstore operational hours of Monday-Thursday 8AM-6PM and Friday 8AM-5PM, at the main campus.Requirements include the following:Must maintain satisfactory academic progressMust be enrolled at least half-time (6 credit hours) during the semester of employment, with the exception of summer termComplete LLCC's mandatory harassment prevention training within 30 days of employmentEmployment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.LLCC strives to create an inclusive workplace and environment for our students, faculty and staff.
