Our busy personal injury law firm is looking for an efficient, organized legal assistant to help our attorneys and paralegals assist our clients with their personal injury cases. Youll assist with the preparation of legal documents, opening case files, insurance claims, communication with clients, and handling all office correspondence including answering phone calls and emails, arranging meetings, and reminding the team of upcoming deadlines. If you have experience in a law firm environment, work well under pressure, and are looking for a rewarding opportunity in the legal industry, we want to connect with you.
Responsibilities
- Accept other administrative tasks as needed to assist the team and ensure the firm runs smoothly
- Conduct legal research, when necessary, with guidance from attorneys and paralegals
- Handle office correspondence and administrative tasks such as responding to emails and phone calls, communicating with opposing attorney offices, taking dictation, and letting the team know about upcoming deadlines
- Professional telephone and email communication with clients and potential clients
- Gather information from potential clients wanting to retain our firm
- Attention to detail with excellent data entry
- Must be a team player and reliable
