We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Purchasing Specialist to join our team in Bedford Park, IL. The ideal candidate will oversee procurement activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and supplies for operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, negotiation expertise, and the ability to build lasting vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement processes for materials and supplies.
• Conduct trend analyses and inventory assessments.
• Negotiate pricing and supervise vendor deliveries.
• Maintain and develop strong vendor relationships.
• Evaluate vendor offerings for quality, price, and delivery terms.
  
  

Qualifications

• BDegree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Purchasing Specialist
• Manufacturing experience (they produce time gear sets)
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Analytical and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
