LMCU is looking for a Bilingual (Spanish) Consumer Default Counselor to preserve the Credit Union’s assets by controlling delinquent loan accounts, collecting delinquent loan payments and/or recovering collateral.

LMCU is looking for a Bilingual (Spanish) Consumer Default Counselor to preserve the Credit Union’s assets by controlling delinquent loan accounts, collecting delinquent loan payments and/or recovering collateral.
What you’ll do:
- Contact delinquent accounts by phone and mail; take appropriate action to bring current.
- Analyze financial situation of delinquent borrowers; make recommendations to repossess collateral when other arrangements to bring the loan current are unsuccessful.
- Maintain accurate files and reports on all collections activity.
- One to three years of similar or related experience. Prior experience working for a credit union is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual in Spanish
