Responsibilities
Assist the Systems Engineering Division (SED) and Chief Engineer by providing subject matter expert-level support, leadership and technical direction in systems engineering. This includes assisting SED in planning and executing systems engineering tasks throughout the acquisition and systems engineering life cycles for selected acquisition programs and offices across CBP.
Support Government Lead Systems Engineers (LSE) in preparing Systems Engineering Life Cycle (SELC) Tailoring Plans for program management staffing.
- Assist LSEs in providing oversight, development and technical leadership of engineering documents as identified in the program / project SELC Tailoring Plan.
- Utilize engineering best practices to help customers identify and mitigate risks, inform technical planning and management, inform technical decisions, provide insight to stakeholders, and identify systematic issues as required
- Assist the SED in the planning, execution, and reporting of specialized engineering analyses
- Support the SED in the planning, execution, and reporting of system performance analyses for assigned programs and projects using Test and Evaluation (T&E) or Modeling, Simulation, Visualization, or Analytics (M&S).
- Assist in the planning, execution, and reporting of Operational Testing and Operational Assessments
- Assist the SED in the planning and execution of efforts to support Enterprise Engineering Initiatives and / or Enterprise-Level Technical Management Initiatives
- Provide technical support to SED Leadership in the planning, execution and monitoring of SED's day to day activities, and in the internal and external messaging of SED capabilities
- Provide support to the Chief Engineer for technical reviews and engineer analysis on CBP acquisition programs & projects, assessing technical maturity and quality of CBP non-IT program / project system engineering products.

Targeted Salary Range : $130,000-$175,000
