Medical Receptionist
We have an immediate need for a experienced medical receptionist to work in in Weslaco, TX. Full-time, M-F, 7-4.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop 485s and reviews for errors (key and non-key items)
- Submit 485s to clinical director for review in a timely manner
- Inform clinical director of progress, changes, outstanding or late lock dates
- Assist with entering of patient demographic date into the AS400 system.
- Greets people as they enter the office, answers calls, answers general questions, screens visitors and delivers messages
- Maintains the files, supplies, postage and general office condition in an orderly manner
- Handles correspondence and word processing for the Organization. May type memos, agendas or maintain meeting minutes
- Makes appointments and informs staff members of meetings
- Process office mail
- Photocopying as required
- Answers telephone inquiries and channels them appropriately
- Performs other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent customer service skills
- Experience with Plan of Care (form 485) development, review and submission
- 1 year experience performing general medical office duties
- Ability to type at least 40 wpm
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Bilingual preferred
