About the Industry Principal role : This key role is responsible for working collaboratively across LNS Research as a player-coach within the Sales team to achieve our goals in event attendance, speaker acquisition, vendor engagement, partner growth, and executive council participation. You will :

  • Be a core member of the Commercial team
  • Work closely with the various functional leaders at LNS Research

Primary Responsibilities

  • Build "Trusted Advisor" relationships with key customer personas in operations, quality, sustainability, and technology.
  • Actively work as a player-coach with the Commercial and Research teams to :
  • Achieve speaker and attendance goals at LNS Research conferences.

  • Achieve executive council membership and attendance goals.
  • Achieve vendor engagement and publishing goals.
  • Achieve partner organization growth goals.
  • Articulate LNS Research's key differentiators and engage with the highest level of operations, quality, sustainability, and technology leaders at Fortune 1000 organizations.
  • Engage closely with the Research team to leverage research and thought leadership to challenge leaders.
  • Partner closely with and train the Sales team members (Account Managers and Business Development) to gain market share.
  • Key Competencies

  • Effective communication skills verbal, written and interpersonal
  • Strong management and communication skills. The ability to bring together different stakeholders (IT, Business, OT etc.) and persuade senior leaders to take action
  • Building strong client relationships with large organizations, as well as identifying opportunities to deepen those relationships and grow the business
  • Leveraging and tailoring engaging content for outbound communication (Emails, phone scripts etc.) and social media to drive demand for event attendees and speakers
  • Interest in building an online, social presence to connect with key personas and help promote research, events, and organizational brand
  • Comfortable delivering formal presentations to management and high-level executives
  • Ability to work in a remote, fast-paced, self-directed team environment
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word for creating proposals, metrics tracking and organizing communications and meetings
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (HubSpot), web conferencing and other internet applications
  • Self-motivated, excellent work ethic, and a commitment to growth in a sales career
  • Education and Experience

  • 5 years of relevant experience engaging with senior manufacturing leaders in a strategic capacity
  • Proven history of driving executive attendance at events and successfully managing executive roundtables, advisory boards, and / or conferences
  • Experience managing a team and effectively engaging with cross functional teams - sales, marketing, etc. to drive the success of executive events
  • A combination of management and "hands on" delivery experience is critical
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred
  • Experience in the Technology-related space highly preferred
  • Experience with challenger sale methodology is beneficial

  • This is a virtual role. Candidates must be in the USA only. Minimal travel, as business needs require. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
