Position Overview
The Director of Human Resources will be a strategic leader responsible for developing and executing HR initiatives that align with business goals. This role will require a leader that is comfortable in a player-coach role and able to implement compensation strategies, organizational design, workforce planning, and compliance, while also managing key areas such as workers’ compensation, employee relations, and talent development.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic HR Leadership: Develop, implement, and execute HR strategies that support business objectives, ensuring Load One remains an employer of choice in the transportation and logistics industry.
- Compensation & Benefits: Design and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs, including incentive structures that attract and retain top talent.
- Workers’ Compensation & Compliance: Oversee claims, return-to-work programs, and safety initiatives to minimize risk while ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Organizational Design & Workforce Planning: Assess business needs and develop structures that enhance efficiency, collaboration, and growth.
- Employee Relations & Culture: Foster a high-performance, value-driven culture with proactive employee relations strategies.
- Talent Development: Lead initiatives for leadership development, succession planning, and employee engagement.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within transportation, logistics, or a related industry.
- Expertise in compensation strategy, workers’ compensation, and workforce planning.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and compliance regulations.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Experience managing HR technology and systems is a plus.
