LOGISTICS COORDINATOR

Job Description:

We are seeking an outgoing and reliable mid-shift Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently booking shipments, managing customer and driver inquiries, and ensuring smooth operation by tracking shipments throughout their shift. The Logistics Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries, handling any operational challenges, and maintaining high standards of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Booking Shipments: Accurately and efficiently book shipments for delivery, ensuring proper documentation and routing information.
• Customer Service: Handle customer inquiries and concerns regarding shipments, providing timely and professional solutions.
• Driver Support: Act as a point of contact for drivers, offering guidance and support during their routes. Resolve any issues or delays promptly.
• Shipment Tracking: Monitor the status of shipments in progress, update customers and drivers on any changes or delays, and provide real-time information as needed.
• Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any operational issues or challenges that arise, including dispatching alternate routes or drivers if necessary.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 1 - 2 years of experience is preferred as a dispatcher/coordinator in a logistics or transportation environment. Willing to train the right candidate, if less than 1 year experience.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle customer and driver concerns calmly and professionally.
• Problem-Solving: Strong ability to think critically and resolve issues quickly, especially in high-pressure situations.
• Tech-Savvy: Proficient in using dispatching software and tracking systems; familiarity with GPS and transportation management tools is a plus.
• Attention to Detail: Highly organized with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in booking shipments and tracking deliveries.
• Availability: Must be available to work the 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM shift, Tuesday through Thursday, 9 AM – 4 PM Friday, 7 AM – 4 PM Saturday.
