Responsibilities
• Process, post, and review payments for customer and client accounts, which may include payments specific to bankruptcy, claims, and loss mitigation • Ensure all cash items are applied per the requirements and terms of loan documents and that all ledgers are in balance and accurate • Perform duties that aid in the processing of servicing documents and accounting, ensuring transactions are within compliance guidelines (e.g., data entry, reviewing documents, tracking, filing, and payment research) • Review audit findings with leadership to determine opportunity for process enhancements and/or procedural changes • Reconcile clearing and custodial bank account activity where necessary • Partner with vendors and contractors to ensure files are processed accurately • All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• High School diploma or equivalent required • 1 year of experience in mortgage operations preferred • 1 year of experience in default operations preferred • 1 year of quality control experience preferred • 1 year of data entry experience preferred • Experience in default operations preferred • Experience or payment processing preferred • Ability to manage time and priorities wisely • Ability to adapt to frequently changing processes and procedures • Ability to work in a high-volume and time-sensitive environment • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and effectively meet deadlines • Ability to work collaboratively with peers in a team environment to attain common goals • Ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person, and by telephone with all levels of the organization • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office applications • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
