What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Owner position at loanDepot?
Position Summary:
We are looking for a Product Owner to play an important role in defining, organizing and prioritizing work required to optimize our lead management system - a critical solution that handles and tracks potential leads from initial contact to conversion. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of new products aimed at enhancing lead handling, increasing conversion rates, and boosting sales efficiency. This involves generating product requirements, determining specifications, production timetables, and bridging the gaps between different functions within the company and aligning all the teams involved.
Responsibilities:
- Defines requirements, metrics analysis, development, testing, and launching efforts.
- Works with designers to optimize product features for enhanced user experience.
- Assists with the investigation and root cause resolution for escalations.
- Assists senior product leaders in development and updates for the product roadmap
- Works cross-functionally with internal and external teams including software development engineers, operation managers, finance, supply chain, leadership to design and release product to market.
- Identifies and manages program blocking issues, provides escalation management, anticipates and makes tradeoffs, and balances the business needs versus technical or operational constraints.
- Individual who operates independently, leads the work of a product development team, and is responsible for a feature or product delivery
- Creates product backlog items to capture user needs and guides implementation teams through criteria to resolve them. Partnered with single product engineering team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 7 years of product/program/project management experience in Agile methodology and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC); preferably in a Business Analyst / Product Owner role
- Strong SQL experience
- Working knowledge of JIRA tools, AI and inRule preferred

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay for this roles is between $121,000 and $165,000. Your base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors, including your job-related knowledge/skills, qualifications, experience, and market location.
