Job Overview
Loblolly Pines Adventure Camp and the Hike House are looking for a part-time Associate to provide excellent customer service and sales. Candidates with strong communication skills who can make customers and guests feel welcome will stand out. Previous retail/customer service preferred. Knowledge of area hiking/biking/floating and the outdoors is a plus. A positive attitude and desire to provide the best possible customer service will make you successful in this role. Possibility of growth for motivated individuals. Loblolly Pines Adventure Camp and the Hike House encourage the exploration, appreciation, and protection of the outdoors. Approx. 20-25 hrs/week to start.
Retail
- Greet customers when they walk in-build rapport through conversation & honest recommendations & cross sells
- Ring up sales & package appropriately
- Ensure online order fulfillment
- Maintain advertising displays and replace purchased merchandise to promote sales
- Drive sales through consistent development of product knowledge and customer service standards
- Ensure floor stock is maintained
- Maintain proper inventory control
- Ensure the store is secured at closing
- Keep daily records of store sales, damages, deposits
- Maintain a clean and organized store
- Inform customers about discounts/special offers/availability/events
- Work with owner/office manager to develop online sales
- Assist with marketing efforts as needed
- Consistently build knowledge of area hiking/events/attractions
- Facilitate special events during scheduled hours
Reservations and Customer Service
- Check in customers using computer programs and equipment and provide guests with necessary information and customer service
- Make/alter guest reservations (in person/over phone/email)
- Inform customers of all on-site amenities and any relevant information that is needed to use them
- Handle and resolve guest complaints and refer to office manager/owner when required
- Communicate with guests to better understand their individual needs to provide them with the best guest service possible
- Communicate upsell opportunities (in room amenities/early and late check ins/pet fees/extended stays) and facilitate sale
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $18.00 per hour
