What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part time Office Manager position at Local 168 JATC?
The primary role of the JATC Office Manager is to keep all records related to the Apprenticeship and member certifications organized and readily accessible. With oversight from the Training Coordinator, the JATC Office Manager will create, sort, maintain, upload as necessary, scan and archive records and certification files. All documentation of the apprenticeship program must be current and kept in an orderly fashion. Such records include but are not limited to, outreach and notification of application distribution, individual application documents, Indenture Agreements including online registry, apprentice on-the-job work documentation, Apprentice related instruction documentation and completion documentation.
Also, there are many duties required of the Office Manager with regards to the operation of our school. Attendance records, class schedules, payroll compilation, penalty letters, mass notifications, and print shop duties are among some of the most important. Additionally, the Office Manager is the acting Librarian of the JATC’s educational media. Inventory and maintenance of the textbooks and reference materials are the domain of the Office Manager. Less frequent duties would include serving as a test proctor, media creator, job fair attendant and office supply purchasing agent.
Finally, the Office Manager is to assist the Training Coordinator with other projects, as necessary. While many tasks required of the Office Manager will be routine, the Training Coordinator is responsible to prioritize work assignments and may assign other projects outside those described herein.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
