What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator position at Local Industry?
Our state-of-the-art facilities are found in the small town of Franklin, Pennsylvania. We provide a wide range modern machinery with diverse capabilities. We continue to provide top quality machined parts, and we are setting the standard with our fabrication and die-welding departments. Our experienced workforce comes with the knowledge on various machinery and welding techniques. With our companies rapidly expanding in this fast-paced environment, we are currently seeking dependable individuals to join our team.
We are seeking individuals to support customers with their RFQ's and technical issues. Our ideal candidates must be able to work well with customers to resolve inquiries and provide troubleshooting assistance. They will need to know how to identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints and specifications. Also, calculating costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements. They must maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism. We find it important to build relationships with the people we work with every day.
High School Degree or equivalent. Prefer a bachelor's degree in engineering or manufacturing discipline, and/or Welding Fabrication discipline. Three (3) years' experience in a Machining/Manufacturing environment, and/or in a Welding /Fabrication environment. In depth knowledge of research, data analysis methods and estimation formulas. Thoroughness, dependable, attention to detail and organized skills. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the scope for specific skills assigned. Prepare, issue, receive and review a supplier/subcontractor proposals and pricing. Coordinates with the client on all changes in scope, questions or clarifications regarding the work, during the bidding process. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Must possess an in-depth knowledge of the industry. Must be able to work under time and budgetary pressures. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
