POSITION SUMMARY
Budtenders and Vault Attendants are the face of our business and will be responsible for ensuring every customer is given the time and attention needed to select our best cannabis strain or product to meet their lifestyle goals. Budtenders are required to ensure business operations are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as with MA state regulatory standards at all times. This position reports to the Manager of the dispensary.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Budtenders promptly acknowledge and greet each guest entering the dispensary and waiting area.
- Consult with customer to determine each customer's product needs, answers customer questions regarding products and overall cannabis info. When necessary, partner with store leads and management to ensure the customer receives the most appropriate recommendations, service, and products.
- Recommends complementary products based on the customer's current selections, or any additional information given during the consultation.
- Inform each customer of current promotions and events.
- Contribute to the dispensary's overall sales and service goals.
- Helps to reduce and/or eliminate potential theft by providing exceptional guest service and maintaining awareness while on the sales floor.
- Ensures that the correct price, product, tax and/or discounts are applied correctly to each sale.
- Accurate handling of cash, debit and all other point-of-sale transactions.
- Responsible for accurate accounting of assigned cash drawer.
- Ensures the store is replenished throughout the day, arranges merchandise to highlight sales and promotional events to company standard.
- Appropriately greets and answers customer questions via phone, in-person, or any other modality.
- Participates in inventory preparation, execution and follow-up.
- Responsible for overall store cleanliness including cash wrap, vault, backroom, break areas, restrooms and sales floor.
- Operates within regulatory standards set by CCC and state/local authority.
- Comply with CCC Agent Card renewal, annual CORI check and annual RVT training.
- Continue education regarding new and existing products; demonstrate product knowledge to customers.
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATONS
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of inventory control and/or retail experience; cannabis experience preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cannabis strains, consumption methods, effects and trends
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment working with a diverse range of colleagues and customers.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at minimum 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass all background checks, and receive approval for CCC Agent Card.
- Night and weekend availability is a must
- Reliable Transportation to and from work.
- Ability to work directly with and around cannabis products, including but not limited to, fresh cannabis plant material, dried cannabis plant material, processed cannabis plant material, cannabis concentrates and cannabis derived oil.
- Able to stand for 6 hours or more, with ability to sit, stand, kneel, bend, and lift up to 25lbs.
