POSITION SUMMARY
The Cultivation Technician works on-site within our indoor, outdoor, or greenhouse cultivation. Completes tasks assigned by the Cultivation Manager to monitor and maintain plant production and health. Maintains quality control measures to ensure a high-quality end product. Maintains organization, cleanliness, and efficiency of production area. Carries out day-to-day plant care, including watering, pruning, harvesting, and trimming. Monitors and maintains plant production and quality control measures in accordance with the State and standards set by the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Measures nutrient and plant applications and applies these mixtures according to company policy.
- Ensures plant health by pruning, topping, trimming, and analyzing plant health.
- Assists Cultivation Manager with any tasks ensuring proper health and care of all plants.
- Performs all assigned duties required to ensure a clean and safe cultivation facility.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of all cultivation equipment and tools, including light reflectors, containers, mixing tools, application tools, and ventilation equipment.
- Assists the Cultivation Manager with tracking plants from birth to harvest by ensuring proper and accurate documentation for applicable activities.
- Ensures accurate documentation of all plant tracking numbers, lot numbers, and all other applicable information.
- Assist in the planning and execution of seasonal and growth cycle projects.
- Documents, according to company policy, the application of all nutrients and/or substances applied to any plant located within the cultivation facility.
- Maintain a continuous state of alertness to ensure the highest standards of safety for fellow employees, products, and the facility.
- Assists with research, communications, or any other assigned projects/tasks.
- Operates within regulatory standards set by CCC and state/local authority.
- Complies with CCC Agent Card renewal, annual CORI check and annual RVT training.
- Continued education regarding new and existing cultivation methods and genetics.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATONS
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Previous experience in agriculture, horticulture, cultivation, commercial production gardening, cannabis industry, and/or other relevant experience preferred.
- Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
- Strong attention to detail
- Flexibility and the ability to shift work schedules according to production needs.
- Must pass all required pre-employment screenings and be approved for CCC Agent Registration.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
- Available to work up to 45 hours per 7-day week; weekend availability when requested.
- Ability to stand, sit, kneel, and lift equipment and/or plants up to 50 lbs. for extended periods.
- Ability to work directly with and around cannabis products, including but not limited to: fresh cannabis plant material, dried cannabis plant material, processed cannabis plant material, cannabis concentrates and cannabis derived oil.
