Position Title: Security Operations Specialist, Supervisory (SOSS)
Department: Security Operations
Salary Range: $55,000- $65,000 (Negotiable)
Reports To: Managing Member, and the Security Administrator (Designated Line Manager)
Location: LOCG LLC (Global Operation Center Headquarters) in Salt Lake City, Utah, or Corporate Headquarters in Seattle, Washington
The Security Operations Specialist, Supervisory (SOSS), plays a key role within the Security Operations team, responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the security operations center (SOC). This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking to ensure effective protection of the company's assets, information, personnel, and internal and external customers. The SOSS will lead a team of security analysts, coordinate incident response activities, and implement security policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
- Supervise SOC Team: Manage and mentor a team of security analysts, ensuring high performance and continuous development.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate the response to security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and comprehensive post-incident analysis.
- Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills of the SOC team members.
Technical Oversight:
- Monitoring and Analysis: Oversee the monitoring of security systems and tools, ensuring real-time threat detection and response.
- Threat Intelligence: Utilize threat intelligence sources to anticipate and mitigate potential security threats.
- Vulnerability Management: Supervise vulnerability assessments and ensure remediation efforts are prioritized and completed.
Policy and Procedure Development:
- Security Policies: Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
- Audit and Reporting: Conduct regular security audits and produce detailed reports for senior management.
Governmental and Contract Compliance:
- Asset Protection: Ensure the protection of governmental assets and compliance with all relevant governmental contracts.
- Internal Security Clearances: Assign and maintain internal security clearances for system access, ensuring that access is granted and monitored according to policy.
Security Guard and Patrol Operations:
- Internal and External Security: Oversee the internal and external security guard and patrol operations division, ensuring effective coordination and execution of security protocols.
- Patrol Management: Supervise the scheduling, training, and performance of security guards and patrol teams to ensure the safety and security of company premises.
- Vehicle Incident Monitoring: Investigate and ensure adherence to all internal and external mechanisms, monitor and report vehicle incidents such as camera violations, seatbelt violations, and other safety matters that could bring potential risk.
- State Compliance: Ensure proper state compliance for security guard licenses (armed and unarmed) for each Patrol Assistant Specialist (PAS) and Guard Assistant Specialist (GAS).
- External Facility Security System Monitoring: Monitor and manage external facility security systems to ensure the safety and security of all company assets and personnel.
Information Technology and System Management:
- Zero Trust Access: Work with the Global IT and Risk Administrator to ensure proper access to all systems that warrant zero trust access, ensuring that financial data, customer information, and employee information are secure at all times.
Strategic Planning:
- Security Strategy: Contribute to the development and execution of the company's overall security strategy.
- Technology Evaluation: Assess and recommend new security technologies and tools to enhance the SOC's capabilities.
- Budget Management: Assist in the planning and management of the security operations budget.
