What You’ll Do:
- Deliver High-Impact Solutions: Lead the design and execution of transportation drainage projects, including urban freeways, highways, rural roadways, and local streets.
- Solve Complex Challenges: Develop innovative, cost-effective solutions that meet or exceed client expectations and comply with regulatory standards.
- Mentor and Develop Talent: Provide guidance and oversight to junior engineers, ensuring the production of high-quality hydrologic and hydraulic models, plans, specifications, and reports.
- Collaborate Across Disciplines: Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless project delivery and cohesive designs.
- Ensure Excellence: Prepare and review report and PS&E deliverables to maintain accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local, state, and federal standards.
- Texas PE license (or ability to obtain within 6 months) and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience delivering transportation drainage focused projects.
- Proficiency with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools and the preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) deliverables using MicroStation GEOPAK or OpenRoads Designer (ORD).
- Expertise in FEMA floodplain analysis, drainage impact studies, and TCEQ water quality design.
- Experience with advanced modeling software, such as HEC-RAS 2D, InfoWorks ICM, or XPSWMM.
- Experience with ORD Drainage and Utilities (DU).
