Job Overview
As an Apprentice Electrician, you will work under the guidance of experienced electricians to learn the skills and knowledge required for a successful career in the electrical field.
Responsibilities
- Assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
- Learn to interpret electrical construction drawings and blueprints
- Perform tasks related to the installation of electrical systems in various settings such as residential, commercial, and industrial sites
- Use a variety of tools including power tools, hand tools, ohmmeters, and voltmeters
- Gain experience working with high voltage systems
- Assist in troubleshooting electrical issues and ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Develop skills in frame carpentry to support electrical installations
Experience
- Prior experience or exposure to industrial electrician work is beneficial
- Familiarity with construction site environments
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading
- Ability to use power tools and hand tools effectively
Job Type: Temp-to-hire
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
