THE WORK

The Successful Candidate For This Position Will

  • Lead the day-to-day of the Labor Relations Operations team, consisting of 2-3 direct reports, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure the team has the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Develop and implement Labor Relations administrative processes to support business objectives and ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
  • Oversee the administration of collective bargaining agreement.
  • Provide guidance and support to management and employees on labor relations matters, including interpretation of collective bargaining agreements and labor laws.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, such as HR and Operations, to ensure seamless communication and coordination on labor relations matters.
  • Analyze labor relations data and trends, identifying areas for process improvement and process standardization that support labor relations strategies and programs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with HR and Operations stakeholders, union leaders and representatives, ensuring positive and productive labor relations.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in labor laws and regulations, ensuring the company is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Participate in labor relations training and development programs, staying current on best practices and industry trends.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Labor Relations, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Labor Relations or a related field or leading employees represented by a Union.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations, including the National Labor Relations Act and the Fair Labor Standards Act.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Skilled in data analysis and problem-solving, with experience identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on efficiency and productivity.
  • Proven attention to detail with a track record of maintaining high levels of quality.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with the execution of collective bargaining agreements.
  • Experience with labor relations software and systems.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader
