Business Development Manager (BDM)

As a Business Development Manager (BDM), you will lead outbound portfolio management and sales efforts to drive proactive

customer engagement, lead generation, and revenue growth. This role focuses on managing a book of business, nurturing

relationships with existing and repeat customers, and identifying new sales opportunities. With a blend of outbound outreach,

customer service, and strategic account management, you will play a key role in growing the company’s customer base and

deepening customer loyalty.

This position reports to the Revenue Director and will sit within the overall Sales and Customer Success team in the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio Management & Sales Outreach

  • Actively manage a portfolio of existing customers, including large buyers and repeat customers.
  • Conduct outbound calls and proactive lead generation to drive new business and grow account value.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through consistent outreach, rapport-building, and follow-up.
  • Leverage referrals and customer insights to identify and secure new sales opportunities.

Customer Service

  • Provide exceptional customer service to assigned accounts, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for your book of business, ensuring satisfaction and fostering loyalty.
  • Ensure all customer interactions and transactions are thoroughly documented in NetSuite, Shopify, RingCentral, and Google Workspace and other platforms.

Account Growth & Strategy

  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products or services to meet customer needs.
  • Develop tailored solutions for customers, leveraging product knowledge and industry expertise.
  • Track and analyze customer trends to identify growth potential and align strategies accordingly.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Partner with Inside Sales and other teams to transition accounts seamlessly and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Share insights and best practices to improve outreach strategies and sales processes.
  • Support training and mentorship for team members moving into more senior roles.

Performance Metrics

  • Meet or exceed activity and revenue generation goals, including outbound calls, lead conversion, and portfolio growth.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction as reflected in feedback and retention rates.
  • Consistently log activity, updates, and results into the CRM for tracking and reporting purposes.

Key Competencies:

  • Experience: 3–5 years in tangible product sales, distribution, e-commerce or hardware-related sales environments with a strong focus on account management and customer service.
  • Sales Skills: Proven ability to generate leads, manage sales cycles, and close deals effectively.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with NetSuite, Shopify, Ring Central, and Google Workspace and other CRM tools; comfort navigating multiple platforms simultaneously.
  • Relationship Building: Skilled in creating rapport, maintaining consistency, and building trust with a diverse customer base.

Additional considerations:

  • Superb communication both verbal and written communication
  • Bi-lingual, Spanish and English - Preferred
  • Must be able to work on-site in Doral, FL, full-time Monday - Friday from 9am-6pm ET

Compensation: Hourly Rate: $20–$24 per hour Commission: Prospectively based on revenue generation and account growth.
