End-User Computing Architect
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced End-User Computing Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our modern workplace solutions. This client-facing position will be responsible for technical leadership in end-user computing projects, providing strategic direction, architectural guidance, and technical expertise to both clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect comprehensive Microsoft endpoint management solutions (SCCM/Intune) and end-user computing environments for clients
- Lead client engagements, providing expert consulting on modern workplace transformation initiatives
- Develop technical strategies and roadmaps for enterprise-wide end-user computing and identity management solutions
- Create architectural blueprints, reference architectures, and solution designs that align with client business requirements
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams during implementation
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovations to enhance end-user computing capabilities
- Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and governance requirements
- Drive continuous improvement of end-user computing service delivery and operations
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, translating business needs into technical solutions
- Present technical solutions to client stakeholders and executive teams
Requirements
Required Technical Skills
- Microsoft SCCM/MECM: Expert knowledge of Configuration Manager architecture, including application deployment, patching, and OS imaging at enterprise scale
- Microsoft Intune: Deep expertise with mobile device management, app protection policies, conditional access, and zero-trust architectures
- Microsoft 365: Advanced experience with Microsoft 365 admin center, Azure AD, endpoint security features, and modern workplace deployments via Autopilot
- Identity and Access Management: Comprehensive understanding of identity frameworks, authentication protocols, privileged access management, and identity governance
- Windows OS Management: In-depth knowledge of Windows 10/11 deployment, configuration, and management at scale
- PowerShell: Advanced scripting capabilities for automation and configuration management
- End-User Computing: Expertise with virtualization technologies (e.g., Windows Virtual Desktop, Citrix) and modern application delivery methods
- Security: Strong knowledge of endpoint security, data protection, and compliance requirements
Additional Requirements
- 7 years of experience with end-user computing technologies
- 3 years in a technical leadership or architectural role
- Strong understanding of enterprise IT architecture principles
- Experience leading client engagements and consulting projects
- Excellent presentation, documentation, and communication skills
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Experience mentoring technical teams and providing subject matter expertise
Qualifications
- Relevant industry certifications, such as:
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect
- TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification
- Certified Identity Management Professional (CIMP)
