Underwriting Specialist

SUMMARY

Lockton Affinity, LLC in Overland Park, Kansas is seeking a temporary Renewal Underwriting Support Specialist. The Renewal Underwriting Support Specialist will provide support to the Underwriting team through various. This is a temporary role that will last around 10-12 months.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide essential support to the Underwriting team by preparing all renewal business documents.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness in documentation for seamless underwriting processes.
• Rate all renewals for assigned programs, utilizing knowledge of pricing structures and underwriting guidelines.
• Run required tools and software necessary for issuing renewal business.
• Ensure timely completion of tasks to uphold service level agreements.
• Adhere to strict confidentiality standards when handling sensitive underwriting information.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent education and/or work experience.
• Previous insurance experience in rating preferred.
• Aptitude for mathematical proficiency.
• Organizational and time management skills to meet time sensitive deadlines and work with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to speak, understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to use word processing and database software in an automated office environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Products, i.e. Outlook, Word and Excel

Pay: $21.42 - $25.79 per hour
