Responsibilities
- Conduct drainage evaluations and stormwater management studies.
- Lead construction plan preparation for flood risk reduction and channel improvement projects.
- Use engineering software and tools for design and documentation.
- Visit construction sites to monitor progress and perform contract duties.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight, ensuring high-quality stormwater design and production.
- Plan project timelines, track progress, and manage milestones effectively.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope and devise contingency plans.
- Define project success criteria and communicate them clearly to stakeholders.
- Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
- Simultaneously manage multiple projects and clients.
- Identify and manage clients to grow the business.
- Establish and maintain client relations.
- Attend client meetings and assist with marketing efforts.
- Communicate effectively with team members, office staff, and clients.
- Foster trust and unity within the project team .
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM).
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Open Roads, Stormwater Modeling, and GIS).
- Proven experience in stormwater management and infrastructure projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of stormwater design principles and best practices.
- Understanding of relevant regulations, standards, and permitting processes.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Municipal stormwater experience in Texas.
- Familiarity with TxDOT drainage preferred.
- Experience working independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Familiarity with drainage systems, floodplain management, TxDOT, and City drainage criteria.
- Knowledge of ArcGIS, hydrologic modeling (e.g., HEC-HMS), and hydraulic modeling (e.g., HEC-RAS, Infoworks ICM).
