Responsibilities
- Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and ArcGIS) to prepare engineering and design documents.
- Perform design computations and develop project design specifications for water conveyance systems and other civil infrastructure projects.
- Analyze reports, maps, drawings, soil reports, survey data, and aerial photographs to plan and design projects.
- Prepare and modify reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, permits, environmental impact studies, and design documents.
- Prepare probable construction cost estimates for assigned projects.
- Attend client meetings and occasionally present project information; some travel, including overnight stays, may be required.
- Coordinate with clients, sub-consultants, and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Monitor construction progress through site visits and ensure compliance with contract documents.
- Supervise or coordinate the work of designers and other team members assisting with specific assignments.
- Ensure quality control and adherence to project standards in accordance with Quality Assurance/Quality Control guidelines.
Qualifications
- At least three (3) years of continuous experience in the A/E consulting field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel.
- Experience with ArcGIS is a plus.
- Familiarity with water conveyance system concepts, practices, and procedures.
