About the Assignment
This correctional facility seeks an internal medicine physician for temporary coverage. The facility offers a flexible schedule, with the option to work either Monday-Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM or four 10-hour shifts. No call is required, allowing for a better work-life balance.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical care to adult patients, seeing approximately 18-20 patients per day.
- Must be board certified/board eligible in family medicine or internal medicine with a valid Virginia license and DEA.
About the Facility
The facility uses paper charting but has implemented Sapphire for electronic prescribing. Support staff includes registered nurses (RNs) and licensed practical nurses (LPNs).
