Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Internal Medicine Physician Associate to join our locum tenens team. As a Physician Associate, you will work independently to provide high-quality patient care in a corrections facility setting. Your responsibilities will include conducting exams, developing treatment plans, and prescribing medications as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have a valid Virginia license and DEA certification. You should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. A strong background in internal medicine and experience working in a corrections facility are highly preferred.
Benefits
This locum tenens opportunity offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no call required. You will see 1820 adult patients per day and be supported by a team of RNs and LPNs. The clinic primarily uses paper charting, but prescriptions are managed through the Sapphire system.
Other Information
Credentialing takes approximately two weeks, and we offer paid malpractice insurance, paid housing and travel, comprehensive onboarding, and 1099 financial consulting.
