Human Resources Operations Specialist

The HR Operations Specialist serves as the main point of contact for all local HR matters of our employees, ensuring accurate information flow and problem resolution. This role is partnering with the global HR team to enhance systems like HiBob HRIS, collaborate with managers on succession planning and employee growth, and lead initiatives to elevate the employee experience, including feedback surveys and company-wide events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the lifecycle of the employees onsite; from onboarding to offboarding and everything in between
• Implement and maintain a program to retain top talent to support the company’s growth strategy
• Process payroll on a bi-monthly basis working alongside the finance department
• Collaborate with mid-level managers on their HC management plans and ongoing risk assessments.
• Align HR strategies with company goals and act as the “voice of the employees” as well as the “voice of the business”
• Partner with our global HR team to enhance systems like HiBob HRIS
• Collaborate with managers on succession planning and employee growth
• Execute the HR annual processes such as bi-annual performance reviews, engagement surveys, salary reviews etc.
• Plan and execute all experience events on site
• Manage HR related compliance with federal, state, and local laws
• Manage HR related employee benefits

Requirements:

• 2 years experience in HR roles at a dynamic, fast growing startup environment
• Strong ability to be a consultant, a partner to local managers and employees
• Ability to problem solve and guide individuals in conflict management
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/ Psychology/ Business Administration, or related field
• SHRM-CP, PHR or equivalent certification preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• People person - Must
• Local to the Greater Chicago Area and open to working in the office four times a week
