Equipment Mechanic

Job Overview

Lodge Cast Iron is seeking a skilled Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As an Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance inspections of mechanical systems, identifying abnormalities or issues, and taking corrective action to ensure the highest level of reliability of production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections of mechanical systems to identify potential issues.
• Dismantle, assemble, adjust, rebuild, and repair production equipment using standard techniques and tools.
• Analyze equipment breakdowns, determine the cause, and execute repairs in a timely manner.
• Complete documentation of maintenance activities in paper or electronic format.
• Use CMMS for performance of PM activities, repair work creation or completion, follow-up work order generation, equipment and parts research, and other activities.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; minimum three years related experience and/or training preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field may be preferred.
• Familiarity with common and advanced measurement tools such as tape measures, levels, precision straight edges, dial indicators, angle finders, tensioning tools, torque wrenches, feeler gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
• Ability to understand and utilize mechanical drawings, prints, and manuals.
• Problem-solving ability and strong mechanical aptitude.
