Lodging Host Hotel Corp is looking for an experienced Conference Center Manager to oversee all aspects of our conference center operations at the Cambria Suites & Conference Center – Northlake, TX. This property is currently set to open in June 2025, and the position start date will be Mid-May.
The Conference Center Manager responsibilities include managing staff, coordinating event logistics, overseeing facility maintenance, and ensuring the highest level of customer service. You will work closely with Sales Directors in both the hotel and conference center. Our ideal candidate has a strong background in event management, excellent leadership skills, and a customer service-oriented approach. Ultimately, the role of the Conference Center Manager is to ensure that events run smoothly and maintain a high level of guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of event planning and management, including training and supervising staff, coordinating and managing logistics, and ensuring the highest level of customer service.
- Coordinate with Sales to develop and manage budgets for each event, ensuring financial objectives are met.
- Ensure the facility is properly maintained and safe for all guests and staff.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers.
- Coordinate with Marketing team to promote and publicize events.
- Prepare event reports and analysis, drawing insights to improve future events.
- Respond to emergencies or unexpected issues that arise during events.
- Ensure all operations comply with legal and health regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field preferred.
- Proven work experience as a Convention Center Manager, Event Manager or similar role.
- Proficiency in event management software and MS Office.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation ability.
- A customer service approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
