Who you are:
- Able to manage, guide, and inspire a team effectively.
- Expert in knowledge of training, certifications, and compliance standards.
- Vigilant in auditing, monitoring, and maintaining safety regulations
- Proactive and resourceful in addressing issues and recommending improvements.
Lead aquatics team to deliver training, certification, auditing, and compliance per Aquatic Safety Program standards.
- Conduct initial lifeguard training classes and recertification courses.
- Certify recreation leaders on Aquatic Safety Program in-service training.
- Provide CPR training for new hires and re-certifications for Security and First Responder team members.
- Perform regular spot checks of aquatic areas for program compliance.
- Address and correct violations to maintain safety regulations.
- Monitor aquatic areas for compliance with local Health Department codes.
- Update procedures to align with Health Department regulations as needed.
- Compile and produce annual guest aquatic rescue data.
- Investigate and respond to significant aquatic incidents, ensuring proper notifications.
- Maintain databases for training logs, checklists, and certifications.
- Track compliance with CPR certifications via database management.
- Collaborate with Recreation Management to determine staffing levels and zones for new pools.
High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Star Guard Lifeguard Instructor Trainer Certification is required.
- CPR Instructor Trainer Certification is preferred.
- Valid CPR and First Aid certification is required.
- Minimum 5 years of management experience in an aquatics facility with multiple pool/spa
