The HR/ Office Coordinator will support our Human Resources team and office operations at our corporate headquarters in Des Moines, IA. This role will assist with HR administrative tasks, employee engagement initiatives, and office coordination responsibilities such as ordering supplies and organizing employee milestone recognitions. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling confidential information in a fast-paced environment.
What we look for:
- Strong proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Prior experience in HR administration or office coordination required
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus
What you’ll do
- Maintain employee records, including scanning and uploading files
- Ensure compliance with DOT driver qualification file requirements
- Complete employment verifications (DOT and financial) within a 72-hour timeframe
- Assist with benefit-related questions and support FMLA administration for employees
- Conduct employee orientations for new hires at the Des Moines headquarters
- Support HR projects, meetings, and training seminars
- Create and distribute certificates for employee achievements, anniversaries, and birthdays
- Order and maintain office supplies to ensure a well-stocked and organized office environment
- Collaborate with the HR team to enhance employee engagement and morale
