Job Summary:
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods, materials, and services required by the organization. This role ensures cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery while maintaining compliance with procurement policies and supplier contracts. The specialist will work closely with vendors, internal departments, and stakeholders to optimize the supply chain and procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing & Purchasing: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on price, quality, service, and reliability.
- Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance.
- Cost Optimization: Analyze market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Contract Management: Prepare and manage procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination: Work with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure the timely delivery of materials and avoid stock shortages.
- Procurement Compliance: Ensure all purchases adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.
- Data & Reporting: Maintain procurement records, forecast future procurement needs, analyze purchasing data, and generate reports for management.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams to determine procurement needs and align purchasing strategies with business objectives.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Requirements:
- Experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices.
