What will you be doing?
Checks and reconciles General Ledger accounts and bank statements
Maintains mainframe computer and network including troubleshooting and installation of new programs and / or updates.
Schedules and follows through on monthly House Bank audits.
Assists in preparing forecasts and budgets.
Prepares monthly financial statements, journal entries, accruals, and all accounting books.
Performs other duties and responsibilities asked by Controller based upon department needs.
Supervises staff in compiling month- end closing reports. Oversees preparation of monthly forecast and variance reports and visually reviews for accuracy.
Calculates and produces daily deposit transmittals for checks received.
Assumes duties of Controller in his / her absence.
What do you bring to the role?
Four year college degree required, preferably in Hotel Management.
Good working knowledge of Hospitality accounting systems.
Strong working knowledge of computer systems / programs such as PeopleSoft, Excel, etc.
Good interpersonal skills with verbal and written communication skills.
Good supervisory skills.
