Position Overview
As our Commercial Electrical Estimator / Project Manager, you will be responsible
For developing detailed electrical estimates and managing these projects through final completion.
Position Responsibilities
- Actively pursue bid opportunities for construction related projects
- Prepare change orders, quotes, assist in estimating, perform bid analysis on each bid completed; Coordinate bid reviews with operations
- Perform advanced takeoffs, read, and interpret plans, proposals, and other documentation to create bids
- Coordinate and ensure complete and appropriate communication to all project stakeholders throughout each project, including regular status reports, updating bid board, accurate and detailed bid presentations and assisting with RFQ's
- Help to build and maintain relationships with contractors and customers
- Develop pricing throughout all phases of the design process and be able to convert budgets into a final bid product
- Issue and track RFI's and change orders
- Keep field and office staff up to date on changes
- Help ensure that projects are being built in accordance with the current National Electrical Code
- Oversee materials submittals and procurement
- Attending project meetings as required
- Track costs for each project
- Manage multiple projects from estimating through final completion
