Bank Teller
Description:
A Bank Teller is a front line, customer facing role responsible for helping customers with routine financial transactions. Their day-to-day duties include making deposits, handling withdrawals and issuing money orders or cashier’s checks to bank customers. They will know the ins and outs of the bank's systems and policies while promoting the bank's services with an emphasis on excellent customer service and a positive attitude.
- Process withdrawals and cash checks
- Issuing Money Orders & Cashier’s Checks
- Running coin machine
- Completing change orders
- Redeeming Savings Bonds
- Processing Night-drops & Mail
- Completion of currency transaction reporting and currency logs as required
- Buy and sell currency from the vault as necessary, ensuring that teller drawer cash limits are not exceeded
- Balance drawer daily, including periodic batching of cashed checks
- Convert boxed coin to coin trays as needed for the vault
- Complete bank regulatory training as required and scheduled
- Attend teller trainings and bank events
- Follow all bank policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Proficient cash handling and balancing experience is necessary
- Previous banking experience is highly beneficial
- Strong computer and math skills
- Excellent customer service abilities
- Ability to travel between branches if needed
- Strong work ethic with a positive, professional, and engaging attitude
- Ability to work Saturdays (half-days)
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required
