Overview
We are recruiting candidates for the position of Assistant County Attorney I or Assistant County Attorney II. The position involves representation of the Logan County Department of Human Services in child welfare, child support enforcement and adult protection matters. The ideal candidate will value working with a team whose mission is to support and protect the most vulnerable citizens in our community, and who enjoys working in a fast-paced litigation environment.
Duties
- Represent the Department of Human Services in dependency and neglect and child support enforcement proceedings.
- Provide legal advice on matters related to child welfare and family law.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as Westlaw to support case strategies.
- Draft pleadings, motions and legal briefs.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and expert witnesses to prepare for adjudicatory trials.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Colorado bar.
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $83,486.00 - $109,088.00 per year
