What are the responsibilities and job description for the Eligibility Referral Specialist II position at Logan County Department of Job & Family Services?
The primary duties of this position are Data Entry, Case Management and Customer Service. The person in this position will determine eligibility for customers applying for public assistance - SNAP, Medicaid and TANF, re-determine eligibility and/or assess ongoing customer’s employment situations and seek to resolve any barriers to employment these customers may be experiencing. The employee will also determine initial and/or ongoing eligibility for emergency assistance.
The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint with strong computer skills. Previous experience working in public assistance is preferred especially as an ERS 2 or similar position at another DJFS. . Must have excellent attendance, a positive attitude and work well with others. Background check is required for this position.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Salary Range: $36,961.60-$47,881.60. Logan County offers an excellent benefits package, including health insurance benefits, employee paid dental and vision, paid sick leave (after accumulated), paid vacation leave after one year of service (or after accumulated if prior countable service), deferred compensation plans, and flexible work hours. Logan County participates in the Ohio Public Employee’s Retirement System.
