We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Junior Maintenance Technician to support our Maintenance Supervisor at a 194-unit affordable housing property. The Junior Maintenance Technician will assist in maintaining the property to ensure a safe, well-maintained, and attractive living environment for residents. \n- Property Maintenance Support:
- Assist with routine inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure property integrity and functionality.
- Perform general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and other maintenance staff to ensure efficient operations and high-quality service delivery.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge in property maintenance.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Follow safety regulations, building codes, and company policies to maintain a safe environment for residents and staff.
- Report any safety hazards or maintenance issues promptly to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Inventory Management:
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of equipment, tools, and supplies, ensuring they are properly stored and accounted for.
- Emergency Response:
- Respond to maintenance emergencies promptly, including after-hours and on-call responsibilities as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Vendor Coordination:
- Support the Maintenance Supervisor in coordinating with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of property maintenance experience or relevant technical experience.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and residents.
- Ability to follow instructions and demonstrate problem-solving skills in addressing maintenance issues.
- Previous experience in a customer service-oriented role is beneficial.
- Successful completion of background and drug screenings.
- Nice to Haves:
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAMT) or HVAC certification are advantageous but not required.
- Location:
- Onsite at our property on 3421 Hudson Court, Antioch, CA 94509.
- Full-time, 8 hours per day, eligible for overtime, with after-hour emergency coverage as needed.
- Involves standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds, with exposure to various weather conditions.
- Occasional travel required to our neighboring property on 110 Bailey Road, Bay Point, CA 94565 for vendor coordination and training purposes.
