Logan Simpson has immediate openings to hire 4 full-time Construction Inspectors to work in southern and western Nevada.
Responsibilities Include:
- Inspects construction sites for compliance with documented environmental terms and conditions associated with the Bureau of Land Management construction approval for a linear transmission line and ancillary facilities project.
- Work in compliance with the safety manual, with safety of self and others in mind at all times.
- Document and complete daily site inspections and reports, including photographs, for construction status, environmental compliance, site conditions, issues, and concerns.
- Communicate daily with the Construction Contractor(s) staff and/or Environmental Construction Monitor and crew members.
- Assist with the development of action plans for non-compliance conditions in coordination with the project team.
- Travel throughout southern and western Nevada for project site inspection, trainings, and meetings.
Position Requires:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Biology, Planning, Anthropology, Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Studies, or closely related field.
- 3 years of environmental compliance construction monitoring.
- Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under limited supervision.
- Ability to write simple correspondence and present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Ability to function with clear and detailed expectations and communication.
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multitask, and be able to adjust to daily changes in priorities to meet the construction schedule.
Physical demands: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to drive a 4-wheel drive vehicle. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work environment: The outside work environment will vary throughout the workday including changes in weather, terrain, traffic, urban settings and/or rural settings. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Off-road driving experience is preferred. A 4-wheel drive vehicle will be provided during work hours.
Schedule:
- 8-Day work schedule (Tuesday-Tuesday)/6-Days off
- Approximate 10-hour workdays
- Day shift
- 3-year employment position with the potential for renewal
- Anticipated start date of January 2025
License/Certification:
- Driver's License and a clean driving record (Required)
Compensation:
This is a full-time position paid on a salaried basis between $65,000 to $95,000 annually, depending on experience and education.
